Executive Chef Jailin Tabares, a Filipino, born and raised in Bato, Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines. As a child she tended to the family’s open air kitchen preparing fresh wholesome meals for family and friends. Her mastery of her family recipes handed down from generation to generation of sustainable organic cooking brings her great pleasure in offering Traditional Filipino Flavors to you and the Twin Cities.

After 30 years of chef and catering for friends and family we realized the lack of Visayan bility to Filipino flavors. With the pandemic at bay, a brick and mortar was out of the question. My husband Scott persuaded me to “Take the Leap of Faith” so we decided to build a commercial kitchen on wheels to better serve the community, hence Inday’s Kitchen Food Truck. After 9 months of trucking we realized the need to expand to a brick and mortar was inevitable. With Kusina tucked away along side Filipino Village Grocery Store we now have a 24 seat Turo Turo Quick Service Deli / Restaurant serving the same traditional flavors Chef Jailin is known for.

All menu items are of fresh ingredients, no processed boxed foods or additional salt, all hand cut, hand made and seasoned with lots of love.

Our food truck and restaurant is relatively new to the Twin cities but our tastes have been around for many years. I thank everyone that comes far and near to satisfy their cravings of Traditional Filipino Flavors.
